After our best ever finish of 2nd place last season, we were on a quest to go one better. This almost worked out except it was one place worse not one place better: we came 3rd. Still, not bad.

After a brief visit to Division 2, the Dragons second team return to Division 1. We normally do well in this division but some of our strength is required in the Premier Division.

After an administrative hiccup last year, the Dragons were back in the Spens Cup and achieved glory after winning the final by the narrowest of margins! The photo shows 4 of the 5-man team (Mark having scarpered to catch a train): Wally, Tom, Isaac (holding the cup) and Neil.
The club championship, organised by Jim, was an all-play-all, single round tournament with players tossing for colours before each game.

Losing Hamish down south was a major blow, although he may be able to play when he is in Edinburgh. Our squad remains strong but as usual, real life events can cause availability issues.

The Dragons 3 team continues its re-launch. Our 3rd tier group is composed of a few old hands and a group of battle-hardened (from last season) not so fresh faces, with a few additions.
The team fought well last season with an excellent 2nd= place finish, but lost out on a tie-break.

Team matches and club championship games are played at Pilrig Bowling Club (map) usually on a Tuesday. We have teams in the Edinburgh League, the SNCL and the Spen's Cup.
